Movement Enters Into Year #5, Closes Out 2013 With Record Performance

Movement Search & Delivery, a professional headhunting firm with global reach, recently held their annual meeting in February 2014 at the Motor City Hotel & Casino in Downtown Detroit. The entire staff came together to review the firm’s performance in 2013 and launched their 2014 initiatives. The event was capped off with a cocktail and dinner dance reception that included everyone in the firm along with their spouses and special guests.

“I have been leading outstanding recruitment organizations and teams of headhunters for over twenty years now. 2013 was the first time we hit and exceeded every production and performance goal that was set the year before. This past year was the most satisfying one in my entire career and a reflection of the incredible team that we have here at Movement,” says Doug Scott, General Manager.

The firm had record performances in every category: Contract Staffing Revenue increased 290% from 2012, Contingency Placement increased 61%, and Retained Search Revenue was up 85%. Movement’s overall revenue increased 88% from the prior year to a total of $6.5 million and their staff increased by 33%. Movement ended the year with a monthly per desk average of $17,000, an increase in production metrics, along with an additional 25 highly-skilled billable consultants working on site at Movement’s clients. In 2013, Movement completed over 230 successful placements throughout 24 states, Mexico, and Canada. “It is incredible that in just four short years the firm has grown into one of the largest, most prominent full service search firms now with over 55 employees,” adds Jeff Davis, Director of Movement’s Automotive Search Practice.

The headhunting firm expects to grow 25% and exceed $8 million in total revenue in 2014. At the annual meeting, the company also announced their profit sharing commitment for their associates along with a comprehensive partnership agreement with LinkedIn through 2017. As previously reported the firm is undergoing an extensive renovation to their headquarters in Clarkston, MI and secured a six year lease agreement totaling an investment in excess of 1.2 million dollars. Chris Cross, Director of Movement’s Long Lines Recruitment Operations, adds, “We love the mojo here, we think it makes Movement a unique place to work, our people are so good, so dedicated. The company is really focused on providing the best of everything for these great recruiters who do great work.” Cross notes, “It was fun to roll out the 2014 incentive to them. Two words, ‘Vegas Baby!'” Movement announced that it will provide an all-inclusive trip to Las Vegas at the exclusive Aria resort in October for all of their qualifying associates and their spouse or a guest. Movement epitomizes the “Work Hard, Play Hard” motto.
