We have amongst us at Movement, yet another seasoned professional who has dedicated his career to the business of headhunting. A 27-year veteran of executive search, Matt is the digger of all diggers when it comes to finding rare, hard-to-find talent. His search practice has taken him to all corners of the globe as he is absolutely relentless in his pursuit of finding the perfect fit for his clients’ openings. Extremely technical, Matt educates himself extensively on every industry that he finds himself working in. When clients work with Matt, they know he does not rest until the search has been successfully completed.

• Previously owned a resume consulting business (published some articles for national publication and did seminars) for 5 years.
• Moved into Headhunting with Aim Executive/Spherion/Mergis from 1996 to February of 2011.

Pierce has a really interesting story. After graduating from college in Tennessee, he moved to Charleston and became a professional Caddie for over eight years and was a fixture at The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island. It was there that he learned to network with some of the most famous and successful people in the country. He grabbed his MBA from The Citadel and then became a leading Researcher for the Wall Street investment community, as he recruited high-profile leaders to provide consulting advice to investors for multiple industries. Those talents and skills have transitioned beautifully here and he is on his way to becoming one of our brightest stars. To top it off, this Southern Boy is an avid ice hockey player. You bet, Pierce Buster is another great fit for Team Movement!

Rich Cross

He is the eldest nephew of our V.P. & General Manager, Chris Cross. Rich started with us as an intern last summer and after graduating from college, he is now in the chair of a full-time Headhunter Support Specialist. Make no mistake, everything is earned around here and Rich is competing with the best in the firm. He is mature and wise beyond his years and has quickly become one of our strongest candidate recruiters and is also developing an impressive client base since coming back. There are a lot of discussions around the difficulties organizations have in motivating and relating to their millennial employees. Spend a few minutes with Rich and you can see that this generation is producing some of the most dedicated and brightest talent in the history of modern business.

He comes to us after spending 6 years of intense psychiatric work helping children and juveniles. We couldn’t be more pleased with his transition. Monica is one of our newest Headhunters based out of MOVEMENT’s Sarasota, FL office. A proud graduate of SUNY Geneseo with a BS in Management Science, Monica brings both analytical precision and an intuitive knack for connecting top talent with transformative opportunities.

Born and raised on Long Island, Monica has lived the East Coast trifecta—spending years in New York City and Connecticut before heading south in 2022. Her career has been defined by a commitment to excellence, a deep understanding of the recruitment landscape, and a genuine passion for helping people to elevate their careers, which inspires them.

Outside of her professional world, Monica is married to her husband Rob and is the proud puppy mom to Lulu and Stewie. She’s a fitness enthusiast who enjoys playing tennis and golf, and she never passes up a chance to travel to Italy—her personal happy place.

Jeremy Groen

Jeremy’s career path didn’t start in recruiting — it started in theology, with plans to become a pastor. Then 2020 happened. Graduating during a pandemic rerouted his plans (just a bit), landing him at a light industrial staffing firm where he thought he’d be driving a forklift… until they put him at the front desk instead. One unexpected pivot later, Jeremy worked his way up to Senior Account Executive and discovered a passion for helping people find the right fit.

In early 2025, Jeremy made the jump to executive headhunting, and he hasn’t looked back. He loves the moment when a search clicks — hearing the excitement in someone’s voice when they land a role they truly love. Along the way, he’s built relationships across the country and jokes that he now has a friend in just about every state.

Kelsey Vaughn

If MOVEMENT had a heartbeat, Kelsey Vaughn might just be it. As our ever-efficient Headhunter Support Specialist, Kelsey keeps things running smoother than a jazz sax solo in downtown Charleston, SC (where she just might be giving a ghost tour after hours).

Before joining the ranks at MOVEMENT, Kelsey spent six years leading corporate college recruitment programs. Her talent for spotting potential is matched only by her uncanny ability to make every candidate feel like a VIP.

A proud Chicago native with a BA in Cultural Sociology and Education from Georgia Southern University in 2016, Kelsey has called Illinois, North Carolina, Georgia, Massachusetts, and South Carolina home—all before her coffee got cold. That cross-country experience gave her a sixth sense for people, place, and purpose—precisely what makes her a force as a Headhunter at MOVEMENT.

When she’s not making headhunter magic happen, you’ll find Kelsey at the beach nose-deep in a historical fiction novel, or out on the water catching waves with her surfboard. Kelsey is also a devoted cat mom to Savannah and Shea — named, of course, after Shea Stadium (Go Mets!).

Emma Smith

Emma Smith is a Charleston native and proud College of Charleston grad (Class of 2018, B.A. in Business Administration). Before diving into the world of executive recruiting as a Headhunter Support Specialist at MOVEMENT, Emma spent 8 years wearing many hats as an office and operations manager for several small businesses. There she honed her skills in organization, multitasking, and keeping things running smoothly.

On the personal side, Emma also spent many years galloping through the competitive equestrian circuit across the Southeast. These days, you’ll find her chasing sunrises on the water, keeping up with her energetic pup, or curled up with a good book. Passionate about people, connection, and a well-organized spreadsheet, Emma brings equal parts heart and hustle to the MOVEMENT team.

Lizzie Hiscock

Lizzie is a connector, problem-solver, and all-around people enthusiast at MOVEMENT. Before joining the team as a Headhunter Support Specialist, she thrived as a top-producing account manager in the medical industry. She got her first taste of the search biz as a corporate recruiter, where she discovered her love for matching people with the right opportunities.

Lizzie’s blend of recruiting and client experience, paired with her curiosity, creativity, and genuine love for connecting people, makes her a perfect fit for MOVEMENT’s culture of building meaningful relationships. She is a really bright bulb, and we are excited to have her working out of MVMT’s Royal Oak, MI office.
