Movement Chooses Village of Clarkston for Corporate Headquarters
Movement Search & Delivery, a professional headhunting firm with global reach, has chosen downtown Clarkston for their headquarters after an exhaustive search throughout Southeastern Michigan. The recruiting company is now the largest tenant in the historic Clarkston Mills Business Mall located at W. Washington St.
“We are very excited to be part of the Clarkston community and look forward to becoming a major employer within the village as our expansion plans are quite aggressive,” says, Doug Scott, General Manager. Movement’s headquarters will house a large recruitment team who support their national and global client base as well as Headhunters who are dedicated to their business in Michigan.
“Many of us have worked with other firms throughout the entire region. There was a lot of pressure to move closer to the Troy & Birmingham area as it would put us in closer proximity to the entire candidate and client population of the region,” comments Mr. Scott, who has spent his entire 20 year career in the executive search industry. Movement chose downtown Clarkston because of the amenities and character that exists in the village and wanted a place that provides a unique working environment for their associates.
Scott adds, “I worked in the traditional office settings my entire career; too much concrete. Now we enjoy looking out at the Clinton River, taking a stroll through Depot Park at lunchtime, and our clients don’t mind taking the extra few minutes to come to us. Once they’re here, they don’t want to leave.”
