Movement Celebrates Record Year With Annual Meeting Bash In Detroit

Movement Search & Delivery, a professional headhunting firm with a global reach, recently had their 2018 annual meeting at the MGM Grand in Downtown Detroit to celebrate another record-breaking year and to kick off their 2018 business initiatives. This event is held during the first quarter of each year as every member of the firm is brought in from around the country to review the state of the business, conduct best practices training, and to celebrate with spouses and loved ones during the weekend retreat.

This year the firm’s keynote speaker was none other than Jim Craig, gold medal winner for USA’s 1980 “Miracle on Ice” Olympic hockey team. Mr. Craig was the starting goalie for the team who beat the Russian National Hockey team in an emotional and stunning upset. That game consistently ranks as the #1 sporting event in US history. For the past 20 years, Jim has been a professional trainer and business coach for some of the largest and most prestigious companies in the world.

“This is the first time MOVEMENT brought in a nationally renowned celebrity to deliver our keynote message to our team. I think Jim hit a home run with his speech. His content was very entertaining and fun and he also challenged each of us to define our definition of success and if we are doing everything that we can every day achieve our goals and reach our full potential.” Exclaims, Doug Scott, Founder & General Manager of MOVEMENT. “This business that we are in has the potential to provide so much that most careers do not offer, but we have to dedicate ourselves fully to maximize the rewards. Jim’s message helped us realize this.”

The evening event highlighted “A Taste & Toast of Detroit” where all of MVMT’s associates and special guests participated in a food and pub crawl. The tour buses took them to three unique establishments throughout the City of Detroit. Scott adds, “I would like to thank the great team at the Detroit Experience Factory for organizing this event and taking care of us. The food was great. The tour guides were knowledgeable and fun. Oh, yeah, the drinks were pretty darned good too. We certainly celebrated!”
